We’re giving parents or carers of participating readers the chance to win an iPad for their child.
Book cover re-design competition
This competition is for our budding artists, designers and illustrators.
We want readers to reimagine their favourite book cover.
They can redesign a book they're reading or have read for the Premier’s Reading Challenge to go into a random draw to win an iPad.
They can use:
- watercolour
- photography
- digital art
- collage
- crayons.
Let their imagination run wild but keep their design to A4 size or smaller.
Email their completed artwork as a PDF or JPEG file to premiersreadingchallenge@education.wa.edu.au.
To make sure they go into the draw, submit their artwork before 11.59 pm on Sunday 30 July 2023. We will feature some of the artwork on our Facebook or Instagram.
In your email, you also need to include your child's:
- name
- school
- year group
- artwork inspiration and book choice
To be eligible for the competition, you must be registered as a parent or carer in the Premier’s Reading Challenge or your child must be registered as a reader. Terms and conditions apply. Read the full terms and conditions.

Show us your child's favourite spot to read a book. It could be:
- your local library
- a book nook
- a park
- the train
- a boat
- their beanbag.
We'd love to see their cosy reading spot. To win:
- upload the photo of their book spot to Instagram and tag us @premiersreadingchallengewa.
If your child is camera shy, they can hold their favourite book over their face.
